Does he have a point? Done his coaching badges, served his apprenticeship as an Assistant Manager for the Trinidad and Tobago national team and Sunderland, so must admit I'm surprised he hasn't been given a shot at a lower league club, a la Hasselbaink at Burton.
Is is because he's aiming too high? Or because he's black? Or more likely because of the reputation he's got for being a bit of a mindless idiot who no chairman in their right mind would let loose on their football club.

Must have heard the pizza story told about 10 different players in my life, usually David Beckham.
Read in one of George Best's books it was McAteer.
Also in the same book, the "if I had all the money I spent on drink..." was attributed to someone else and Best was only quoting them/paraphrasing it.

Two more:
McAteer once spotted Jimmy White whilst at a club one night and shouted "180!" at him.
He supposedly filled out a credit card application and in the 'Position held' part he wrote "I'm a central midfielder but the gaffer is playing me at right wing back".
One of his team mates one asked him to pass the Tomato sauce, to which he replied 2Red or brown?".
He went to Pensylvania whilst on duty with Ireland and asked where Dracula's castle was.
These are the type of things that led him to be given the nickname Double Trigger at Liverpool, because he was twice as stupid as Rob Jones who was already nicknamed trigger.
McAteer in an interview one confirm that most of these stories are in fact true.

I love the old McAteer stories
He was asked if he wanted his pizza cut into four or eight bits and he said four as he couldn't manage eight.
Or when one of his teammates (Ruddock I think) locked himself out of his car, asked McAteer to get a coathangar and he came back with a wooden one.

Michael Vick was also a brother in the NFL and kaepernick is mixed race.
In the past I just don't think many kids grew up wanting to play the position and always wanted to instead be in positions to hit people or be running backs (position where whites are extremely rare), but now its revolutionising itself so qb's use their legs a lot more, guess it's appealing to more people.
Big difference anyway, as the yanks have always had race problems, where as Dwight has been plying a trade in this country where it hasn't been a major issue for years, so he's just talking shit. Sports owners only see pound or dollar signs, so will employ whoever they feel will get them wedge in regardless of colour.

They have four captains on each club if I recall correctly. Offence (usually, but not always, the QB), defence, and two for special teams.
